When I was a kid, one of the books I read was this full-page book about... kid-friendly bodily disasters? That's the best way I can describe it based on the two examples I remember most. The book had extreme closeups of 2000's CGI and then a bunch of facts about whatever was being shown. I clearly remember the pages for popping a pimple (which looked like a pus volcano) and... a mosquito trapped in the ear. Very specific.
Thinking back, this had to be some kind of Scholastic book fair slop. It's the only way I can imagine a book like that falling into my lap.
