Making a thread for it since I guess I'm committing to this now.

This thread is not for general Matrix tech support.

I've been having some image loading issues today. No clue what's up, hoping it will be a simple fix. Refreshing it resolves it for me. I don't think it's happening just because of the new traffic but we do have nearly 20 users now and things were working OK up until they weren't. I'm going to have to figure out how to monitor traffic.

I do need to figure out a backup system as well.

Sorry about the issues. It's not my intent to trap a bunch of people on my crappy hobby server forever. In time I'm sure people will spread out once there's more options. I don't mind having people on here, I am ecstatic in some ways and nervous in others, but I am just going to need everyone to be very patient with me.

I also do have the intent to write a guide for starting your own server but....... jesus christ I barely know what I'm doing as it is.

Images are still borked. Fixes if you refresh. I was working on it yesterday I just didn't make any progress. Unfortunately I'm not doing very well today so I need to take some me time and it's probably not getting worked on today.

If there are any other Matrix sysadmins around here who already know what's going on, the error is ns_binding_aborted. I'm guessing it's nginx settings (again).

Search is also spotty, I've forgotten to mention. Probably also some sort of timeout issue.

Been working on it on and off tonight. Loading media is occasionally throwing "401 - Missing access token". Keyword is occasionally. If this issue was more consistently reproducible it wouldn't be the bane of my existence.

Media loading is a browser Cinny issue.

I spent last night and most of this morning trying to set up webhooks via Hookshot and it just ........... did not really work out. I might have to make my own bot but that will be annoying and time-consuming and probably shit.

For the time being I'm putting it down. I know this is the one thing that has us still tethered to Discord and it sucks.

I was trying to install something small and the server froze and I'm logged into the control panel now to reboot it but it's not fucking loading??????

I was waiting until the weekend was over to figure this out but I sat down and........ can't reproduce it lol. Bad luck lately.

What error does it give?
Have you tried on browser?
