The Amazing Digital Cafe

Sex Mission

Yes, I enjoy The Amazing Digital Circus quite a lot. No, you don't get to judge me if you haven't watched past the second episode. I would say episode 4, minimum, and then you get to judge me.

I've been watching clip compilations lately and I've been laughing at how scuffed the first two episodes are. I still like them but I don't know that I would have kept watching if I started with just the pilot.

Anyways, we're here to talk about something very important. As of recently I've had a hard time conveying the message of Eggware to people - it seems self-evident to me, and some people like our lovely forums-posters seem to pick it up and "get it" immediately, but the influx of Matrix users has left me at a loss to explain what exactly it is that we are doing here.

It is with considerable joy that I bring you the most Eggware Social topic that has ever Eggwared:

The Amazing Digital Circus Cafe | Glitch Productions Wiki | Fandom

It checks all the boxes. It's a fast food location. It's a pop-up that only lasted for a month, so it's ephemera. It's about licensed merchandise for a divisive cartoon. And the top result for it on Google is an article from Fandom Wiki that's formatted like shit!!!

There's a lot to take in, so I'll give you a quick tour of the themed menu:

  • Pomni gets a burger with her face branded on it (WHAT), along with a strawberry milk drink
  • Ragatha gets an omurice and blue lemonade
  • Caine gets a cupcake, and also shares a cranberry juice with Bubble (it's not carbonated? really?)
  • Zooble gets a parfait with their decapitated head in it
  • Jax gets a pancake, similarly decapitated, along with a blueberry yogurt
  • Gangle gets a berry tea
  • Kinger only gets a strawberry milk, which he has to share with Pomni.

There's merchandise! It's not so bad! Just kidding, Pomni and Jax and Gangle get TWO standees each while Ragatha and Zooble only get one, and Kinger gets nothing. Then their standee art is used on buttons. Then that art is reused again on a mug. That's right, Kinger doesn't even get to be on the mug! Not even the plastic folder!

They sold some other merch and some of it has Kinger but none of those are cafe-themed. I WILL CONCEDE: he was literally not in the episode that this cafe is themed around. I just think it's really funny to get play-mad about it. Especially because my wife told me recently that people are getting mad to learn that TADC actually has main characters and isn't just a rotating cast show like MLP. If TADC doesn't have main characters then how come Kinger doesn't get to be in the cafe merch? Huh? Huh?

It's a little like when your friends all go out and you stay home sick and that just happens to be the one day they get up to a bunch of crazy shit and make a new injoke. Not that I would know anything about that.

This was a collab held in Tower Records Cafe, a cafe that seems to exist partially just to support merch promos like this. Apparently we had another TADC Cafe Experience in America just a few months ago in "Requiem Cafe", which I would have loved to go to, but it was in California. Once again I am denied the privilege to eat an overpriced burger next to some cartoon characters.

I can't stop thinking about this fucking thing. I can't promise I won't spin this into a blog post.

Really really mad I didn't get to try the Pomni's Hamburger

The Luigi burger at Toadstool Cafe in the Universal park is a chicken burger with green peppers. We had a stream once where I was trying to figure out what was in it based on a really low-quality picture and started arguing with my wife and it permanently became "The Luigi Burger of Fighting"

I just don't think the Pomni's Hamburger would do that to me
