Suggestions (new boards, functionality, extensions, etc) go here!

I'm totally lost as to what would be wanted or expected out of this, as my last few attempts at running this forum ended up with way too many subforums no one was using. So it's a blank slate, and we can make more boxes as we go along.

Known issues & priorities

1. E-mail server is not working. Something about configuration
   
2. Cannot request account deletion. (Plugin requires email)
   
3. Markdown mode would be nice.
   
4. Signatures don't work for some users
   
5. Smilie selection sucks
   
6. Post URLs still suck (this can be solved with a plugin but I have other shit to do)
   
7. Birthdays still not hidden by default
   
8. Spoilers not accessible on bbcode bar
   
9. Portal.php is broken

I was going to disable the display of birthdays altogether, but that looked to be a much larger undertaking than simply setting the default display at signup to "hide". Which means if you've already registered you'll have to go and hide yours at the User CP.

This one I did not actually accomplish, simply because I could not fucking figure it out. I gave it a good try though. I was hoping someone had already written a plugin for this but they had not. I was envisioning a toggle on Post Options, like "Disable Smilies".

I know nothing about what writing plugins for this will entail, since I'd have to somehow override the post parser and whatever hell the WYSIWYG editor is going to give me, but I will give it my best shot. If all else fails I'll make a Greasemonkey script that'll work on other forums too.

Did this a while ago. Kind of wondering if it should be different from the blog, but I didn't want to muddle the theming too much.

Next up is Basic QOL Stuff Part 2, where I try again to implement account deletion, some form of markdown support, and any other concerns you guys might have.

Apparently birthdays still do NOT hide by default, despite me literally changing them to do so. So I'm going to investigate that later.

I've also been trying (on Mortis' suggestion) to implement a Discord webhook... thingy, but the forums just... don't see the plugin.

Ahh, forums.

New known issue: apparently signatures are broken, but only for some users. NO clue what is doing this; we're using the default theme, I only have 3 plugins and none of them are causing this. Don't even know what I could do to test it, cries

I think now URLs aren't quite so stupid. Hopefully that doesn't break the webhook.

Well smilies might be more of an undertaking than I thought, since I'm going to have to make them all roughly the same size or else they won't play nice. But I DID add the most important one:

I'm working on overhauling the EggwareXYZ Discord which means I'm also implementing a webhook there! If you are also a member of the IHA Discord now's your chance to mute one of these channels before you go insane! I have hopefully made them functionally identical.

Hoping to add some more thread icons today so I'm lookin' for suggestions. We obviously need at least one Minecraft one.

Finally got off my butt and did it, we have a points system now!

Lots of work but nothing to show yet. Tidied up the postbit so it isn't full of pointless info (look to your left on this post to see what I mean). That's to make room for Badges, which you can buy with your Eggs, EVENTUALLY.

i keep assuming that the important posts would be in announcements instead of general discussion, not sure if this is a problem but maybe something to consider if anyone else finds it inconvenient?

The Portal had been broken for... a while (gonna choose to not think about it) but I only noticed it recently. It's fixed now!

Yup, twas permissions (I added a new role recently for the login boards). Should be fixed now.
